1. The 4th Korea-Japan-China Foreign Ministers’ Meeting will be held in Gyeongju, Korea, on May 15-16.
Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan and his Japanese and Chinese counterparts Katsuya Okada and Yang
Jiechi will take part in the meeting. .
2. At the upcoming Meeting, which will be chaired by Korea, the three Foreign Ministers will have a broad
exchange of views on the current cooperation among the three countries and ways to further bolster it;
preparations for the 3rd Korea-Japan-China Summit; and major regional and international issues.
3. Regarding preparations for the 3rd Korea-Japan-China Summit, slated for this year in Korea, the three
Foreign Ministers will discuss possible cooperative projects in various sectors that could take trilateral
cooperation to the next level as well as side events.
4. On the sidelines of the tripartite conference, Foreign Minister Yu will meet bilaterally with his Japanese
and Chinese counterparts Okada and Yang, respectively, to exchange in-depth views on matters of
mutual interest.
